Cocoa beans, also known as cacao beans, are seeds of the cacao plant, extracted from its “pods”. Once removed from its pods, the seeds are dried out through roasting in order to grind them into cocoa powder. Our Organic Cocoa Powder is made from dark, rich and decadent cacao beans. What does it taste like? Cocoa powder is aromatic and concentrated in chocolate flavor, pairing well in both sweet and savoury applications.
