Second Spring’s Organic Sprouted Whole Wheat flour packs all the nutrition of a whole grain flour while maintaining a soft, fluffy texture and mild, sweet taste. Sprouting wheat improves digestibility and enhances its flavour, texture and nutrition.
Note: For best results, sift before use. You can use sprouted wheat flour in recipes that call for unsprouted flour, but you may need to make small adjustments to liquids or leavening agents as it absorbs moisture differently and has a different gluten structure than unsprouted flours.

Use in various baked goods. Sprouted wheat flour can actually increase the volume of baked goods, and because it is a whole grain flour, it doesn’t get flat or chewy, even if over mixed.
White flour is a flavourless blank slate- it has been refined and the most nutritious part of the grain has been removed, whereas sprouted flour packs all the nutrition of a whole grain flour. Spelt flour is a good source of dietary fiber, protein (which it contains more of than common wheat), and vitamins and minerals.
